Station #1: BUY A BOLT OF FABRIC

Practice makes perfect! Under the watchful eye of Micheline and her staff, the students will learn to create patterns and craft clothing for themselves and their clients. Help us stock the supply closet at the school and the boutique with beautiful African wax print fabrics!

STATION #3: Purchase a sewing machine

What began as a sewing school a year and a half ago has evolved into so much more. We now have a class of seven women ready to put their skills to use. This donation will purchase a sewing machine for the new boutique. All graduates will have access to these machines and be able to start creating for the clients that visit the boutique.

Station #2: GIVE A SCHOLARSHIP

There is a line of women waiting to join the One Thread Program. For $80, you can sponsor a woman to attend for two months. Most women complete the program in one year. This donation will go toward a scholarship for the woman's tuition and materials. A full scholarship is $450.

Station #4: LAUNCH a small business

In Kinshasa, all clothing is handmade and tailored to fit the customer. Men and women are all about their fashion and the local boutique is where its at. With your help, our graduates of the boutique will head out into their own neighborhood to open a business where they can start earning a sustainable income to support their families with their heads held high!

station #5: Become a monthly sponsor

Your donation will go directly to our scholarship fund, allowing young women to join the One Thread Program.
