Station #1: BUY A BOLT OF FABRIC

Practice makes perfect! Under the watchful eye of Micheline and her staff, the students will learn to create patterns and craft clothing for themselves and their clients. Help us stock the supply closet at the school and the boutique with beautiful African wax print fabrics!

STATION #3: Give a scholarship

There is a line of women waiting to join the One Thread Program. For $80, you can sponsor a woman to attend for two months. Most women complete the program in one year. This donation will go toward a scholarship for the woman's tuition and materials. A full scholarship is $450.

Station #5: LAUNCH A BUSINESS

Six of our graduates will launch a small business this year.  Each woman has been equipped with the tools and skills to make and sell clothing. We will come alongside these entrepreneurs and provide them a space and supplies to make their dreams of becoming business owners a reality.

station #2: YOUNG SCHOLARS

Many of the women in our program are mothers. This fall we were able to send seven of their children to school with new uniforms and supplies! Donations to the Young Scholars fund will provide this opportunity to even more children whose mamas are in the program.

Station #4: buy a sewing machine

What began as a sewing school a year and a half ago has evolved into so much more. We now have a class of women ready to put their skills to use. This donation will purchase a sewing machine for each new graduate so she will be able to start creating for clients at the boutique.

station #6: Become a monthly sponsor

Your donation will go directly to our scholarship fund, allowing young women to join the One Thread Program. The scholarship covers all training and materials fees. It costs us about $40 per month per student, each women typically takes12-18 months to complete the training.
