Supporting vulnerable women and children in Democratic Republic of Congo  through meaningful in-country partnerships since 2009.

The One Thread Project offers a comprehensive sewing vocational program that includes skill acquisition, business training, co-op membership and wrap around support for the whole family.

The Lokumu Project seeks to restore dignity and develop potential while alleviating extreme poverty. We offer business training and ongoing support to hopeful entrepreneurs in Kinshasa.

Our initiatives in the East support primary and secondary education through a partnership with Family Bethlehem as well as family preservation and reunification efforts in the local community.

Vision & Story

We are a Christian based organization that believes that the love of Jesus found in the gospel of salvation in the Bible has the power to bring hope to all children and peoples of the world. We believe that we are the hands and feet of this love. We believe children are precious and loved by God; they should be in families, not orphanages.

For the past eight years, we have worked alongside our Congolese brothers and sisters in serving orphans, vulnerable children, and families in DRC.

Our Impact

Learn more about the ways we've been putting donor funds and grants to use over the past eight years. From school fees and uniforms to job skills and business training, we're working hard to make the most of each dollar.

About our Team

Scattered across the globe, we have team members in Ethiopia, Eastern Congo, Kinshasa, and the United States. Our partners in Congo work closely with the volunteer team in the US to best meet the needs of those we serve.
